Privacy policy
Information pursuant to Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR).
This website sets no cookies, embeds no third-party content and transmits no data to third parties when you open it. That is why no consent banner appears: there is nothing to consent to.

No data protection officer has been appointed; the conditions of Article 37 GDPR do not apply.
2. Visiting the website (server log)
Each time a page is opened, your browser transmits technically necessary information which the web server records in a log file:
- IP address of the requesting device
- date and time of the request
- address requested and volume of data transferred
- status of the response
- browser and operating system identifier
- where applicable, the previously visited page
Purpose: delivery of the page, operational security and
the ability to trace faults and attacks.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate
interest lies in secure and trouble-free operation.
Retention: the logs are kept by the hosting provider and
deleted according to its periods.
3. Hosting
The website is hosted by Aruba S.p.A., Via San Clemente 53, 24036 Ponte San Pietro (BG), Italy. The servers are located within the European Union. A data processing agreement pursuant to Article 28 GDPR is in place with the provider.
4. No third-party content
This website loads files exclusively from its own server. In particular, the following are not embedded:
- fonts from Google Fonts — the „Akaya Kanadaka“ typeface used here is served from our own server
- maps from Google Maps or other mapping services — the location reference is a plain link
- Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager or comparable services
- social network buttons or tracking pixels
- videos, fonts or scripts from third-party providers
The previous website handled this differently: it loaded fonts directly from Google on every page and a Google map on the contact pages, in both cases immediately on page load and without consent. Both were removed when the site was rebuilt in autumn 2026.
5. Visitor statistics (Matomo)
To improve what we offer, we record which pages are opened and how
often. For this we use the Matomo software, which runs on our
own subdomain stats.staudnerhof.it. It is not a third-party
service; the data does not leave our sphere and is not passed on.
The collection is set up so that it works without recognising individuals:
- No cookies are set and no data is stored in your browser.
- The IP address is truncated by two bytes before storage (203.0.113.42 becomes 203.0.0.0) and can no longer be attributed to a person.
- Your browser’s „Do Not Track“ setting is respected. If it is set, no counting takes place at all.
- Individual records are deleted after 183 days; beyond that only aggregated figures without any personal reference remain.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest lies in designing the website to meet visitors’ needs. Since no cookies are set and no information is read from your device, consent under Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code (D.Lgs. 196/2003 as amended by D.Lgs. 101/2018) is not required.
6. Getting in touch
This website contains no contact form. If you call us or send an e-mail, we process the information you provide solely in order to answer your enquiry.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for enquiries relating
to a booking, otherwise 6(1)(f).
Retention: until the enquiry has been dealt with and no
statutory retention periods apply.
7. Links to other sites
The site links to third-party offerings in two places:
- Airbnb — for booking. A connection to Airbnb is only established once you click the link. Their privacy terms then apply.
- OpenStreetMap — for the location. Here too the connection is only established on clicking.
We have no influence over the processing carried out by these providers.
8. No automated decision-making
Neither profiling nor automated decision-making within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR takes place. No newsletter is offered.
9. Your rights
You have the following rights vis-à-vis the controller:
- access to the data stored about you (Article 15)
- rectification of inaccurate data (Article 16)
- erasure (Article 17)
- restriction of processing (Article 18)
- data portability (Article 20)
- objection to processing based on a legitimate interest (Article 21) — here this concerns the visitor statistics

10. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The competent authority in Italy is:

11. Status
This policy applies from 31 August 2026. It describes the state of the website at that time. If the website is extended with functions that embed third-party data, the policy must be adapted beforehand.
